Loader type is a jobsite decision, not a brand decision. Put the ground condition in your Want to Buy or inquiry so sellers do not quote the wrong machine.
Crawler loaders
Better on soft, muddy or steep ground. Slower to road, higher undercarriage cost. Ask about track wear the same way you would on an excavator.
Wheel loaders
Faster on firm yards and between piles. Check tires, articulation joints and the bucket edge. Hours on a wheel loader tell you less than tire and pin condition.
