Documents
Have the commercial invoice, packing list, title or deregistration papers, and any residual fuel / battery declarations ready. Missing papers delay customs more often than the machine itself.
Load plan
Confirm whether the unit fits a 40ft HC, flat rack or breakbulk. Measure with attachments removed. Ask the yard for photos of lashing points before you sign the booking.
Port and survey
Name the load port and the survey company in the message thread. A pre-shipment inspection recorded on the listing conversation avoids later disputes about condition.
